SAVE GANGA MOVEMENT


the rivers provide water to over 5 billion people who live near them, besides providing a home to thousands of species.These stressors endanger the biodiversity of 65 per cent of the world's river habitats and put thousands of aquatic wildlife species at risk. Also, over-development and excessive extraction as well as billions of dollars of investment by developed countries to avert water stress have damaged biodiversity of the rivers, the report published in the latest issue of journal Nature said.
In the case of Maa GANGA the civilization of north India depends on the fertile land of this river. If such pollution level grow then may be Maa Ganga become like Sarswati. To Save Ganga on the 26th oct. 2010 a meeting call at Haridwar between Scientific society, National Ganga Basin River Authority and Religious gurus.In this Bhartiy Vedic Vigyan Academy's Director Er. Satyendra Tripathi also call for meeting with these deligates. also Academy like to start a campain in whole Uttrakhand for MAA GANGA.
